The last time that I saw Andre Leon Talley was at the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture to see Andre’s Biographical Film “The Gospel According to Andre Leon Talley” where he talked about his transformative love of fashion, his food addiction struggles, never having ever fall in love, and his love of his Grandmother. I never knew that Andrew was 73. In typical “Black Don’t Crack Fashion” he didn’t look it, but today we lost a Fashion Icon Pioneer, and a man who paved the way for Black Fashion Editors to shine in the ownerships of their voices. I’m sad. But oh so glad that I got to experience this Giant of a man in Person. May Andre Rest In Peace. XO, Love and PR
