So Are the 80’s Officially Back? Marc Jacobs Fashion Story is giving 80’s Cyndi Lauper Meets late night Lower East Side CBGB’s. For those who know, you know because it’s a New York Thing. Marc Jacobs as a Designer just seems to be uninterested and over the often vacuous and fashionably hollow design scene that we all know (but don’t want to say it) has turned into a spectacle wannabe circus, but there’s something about this collection that is attempting to get back to a creative space of “let’s see where this goes” artistry and I like it. But will it sell, will the consumer buy it and does Marc in his fashion legacy even give a damn? LPR
